The 2009 Juno Awards will receive ample coverage from Sirius Radio Canada as the satellite radio giant pairs up with CBC Radio 3 to help promote independant Canadian musicians through a special broadcast.

Sirius’ coverage of the Junos kicks off with the sponsorship and live broadcasts of JunoFest’s Indie Night of Music in Vancouver, British Columbia.

The event will be hosted by Radio 3′s own star host, Grant Lawrence and will feature performances by indie bands including Elliot Brood, Jon-Rae Fletcher and more.

The Juno broadcast airs on Sirius’ CBC Radio 3 channel (channel 86) on Friday, March 27th at 10pm PDT.
