Satellite radio is set to enter another tenuous financial period as the automotive industry faces extremely difficult times. Although Sirius has managed to scrape itself out from the brink of fiscal ruin, continued trouble with its closely related partner may put even further strain on satellite radio sales.
The United States government recently forced the exit of General Motors CEO Rick Wagoner (pictured above) while threatening to allow Chrysler to enter into bankruptcy due to a continued lack of cooperation with Fiat.
Sirius XM Radio has long been connected to the automotive industry and the economic recession’s toll on car buying will no doubt have a similar impact on the satellite radio corporation.
