Globe and Mail Predicts Continued Auto Industry Decline

car-deck1It’s no secret that the global economic recession has led to a massive financial hit for the automotive industry in particular and, with the continuation of these trends, it seems like satellite radio may continue to falter alongside it.

Toronto newspaper The Globe and Mail reported on the Bank of Nova Scotia’s prediction that fiscal 2009 will produce the lowest automobile sales in the last thirteen years.

Considering that the single largest source of revenue for Sirius and XM Radio services is generated from the automotive industry, satellite looks likely to continue undergoing significant financial trouble until at least next year.
