While this week saw a bit of good news arrive for iPhone and/or iPod Touch owners looking forward to a Canadian iTunes Store release of the official Sirius XM iPhone App, XM Canada fans are set to be let down.

Members of the Digital Home Forums have received information that, while Sirius Canada can expect the App to arrive in the future, XM Canada users may be left out in the cold.

XM sent a statement (the entirety of which can be read through the link below) detailing their plan to provide satellite radio service only through Rogers and/or Telus smartphone customers.
