Jazz enthusiasts will be pleased to see Sirius’ most recent addition to the growing trend of specialty programming line-ups as the Real Jazz channel launches a new two-hour show entitled “Beyond Jazz“.

The weekly speciality show debuted on Sunday, March 15th and features commentary from Emmy-award winning music journalist, Mark Ruffin.

Ruffin covers the roots and evolution of jazz music through discussions on the style’s past and broadcasts famous tunes from notable artists such as Miles Davis, Herbie Hancock, Chick Corea and more.

Beyond Jazz airs Sundays at 5pm EST on Real Jazz (Sirius channel 72/XM channel 70).
