Industry observers predicted the worst for the future of satellite radio as automobile sales began to plummet during the economic crisis but now, an examination of market trends has led many to a more optimistic conclusion.
Although it seems obvious that satellite radio companies such as Sirius would be negatively affected by the decline in car purchases, the company has managed to report an overall growth which exists independent from auto sales.
The adoption of satellite receivers outside of cars lead the company to a hopeful projection which would see continuing financial viability through the (estimated time basis) of the next four years.
