The 2009 South by Southwest music festival kicked off yesterday and Sirius was right there along with the bands, providing coverage from the first acts to the end of the annual events.

Last weekend Sirius broadcasted coverage from SXSW and will continue to cover events on channels including Sirius XMU (Sirius channel 26/XM channel 43) and Underground Garage (Sirius channel 25/XM channel 59).

Sirius XMU is the best one-stop channel to catch live recordings and commentary from some of the 80+ venues hosting SXSW bands while the Underground Garage is set to host a live broadcast on Friday, March 20th from the floor of Antone’s in Austin.

The Austin, Texas event showcases hundred of bands and runs until March 22nd.
