I purchased a lifetime, back in 2007, my system was just stopped. When I called Customer DIS-Service, they told me I was now on a 2 yr. that there was no lifetime. I think we should send a message to these crooks and start a big class action suit... I know dozens of people this has happened to, and with IPods, and such, Sirius...you're going down...
No Customer Service + Raping the public = NO customers....

You folks are lucky the Sirius lifetime option was cancelled. You still have the money in your pockets.
Look at http://www.xmfan.com and find the thread about the proposed changes associated with "XM 2.0." You'll see that the bandwidth presently being used for Sirius is scheduled to be re-purposed and used for the additional XM 2.0 channels. According to the schedule, by mid-2015 all present Sirius RF frequencies will be used by XM, at which point there will apparently be no Sirius system whatsoever! Think how you'd you feel if you'd shelled out $500 or so for a "lifetime" subscription that only lasted 5 or 6 years!

I had XM in my last truck and Sirius in the one prior to that. I just purchased a new Ford F150 September 23-11. I got a letter from Sirius. Win Your Wheels. Funny thing was the letter came Nov 2-11 and the contest closed October 31-11. Yes you could blame the mail service but your company has our email address as provided by Ford of Canada. I had hoped to purchase the lifetime membership also after the free trial period for my new truck ends.
Having paid for satellite radio service for the last 8 years I would like to think that Sirius XM would want to keep listeners rather than have us not bother to tune in and drop the service. I think it is time for Sirius XM to rethink this and give the customers back the lifetime option. And how about sending us timely information in the mail!
Well Mr MacNevin Vice-President,Customer Experience how about showing some customer focused decisions?

I was fortunate to have bought a lifetime membership as soon as SIRIUS formed and glad i did as i would probably not still be a member if i had to pay 15.00 a month.

With that being said I LOVE SIRIUS

I live in Ontario and have a US account using the address of a friend of mine in the US. I bought 2 lifetime subs 4 and 5 years ago. I just added a third reciever for my boat that I pay 8.99 monthly and will be suspending service at the end of the season then re-activating it next year. The contact person I spoke with said there is no charge for "suspending" service but there is for "cancelling" service. I recommend anyone in Canada use a US address and get the US Sirius for the lifetime plan. Us Canadians seem to always pay 50-100% more for everything on top of our horrendous tax structure.

new truck came with trial subsciption . Kids gave me a xmas receiver. two years ago . Now its time for my truck free trial to expire. seems that this company has the same creed of service as the BELL group of companys. Was going to subscribe with the second set discount offer but now I'm going to let it laps untill the kids gift expires in feb of 12. If they shut the truck off .New tecnology will take over. I shure would not advise the purchace of any sat radio stocks in the near future. Leary in Ontario
