Sirius Canada or XM Canada?

Sirius XM

The Digital Home Forums have recently hosted a thread discussing the pros and cons of Canadians two satellite radio options, the still unmerged Sirius Radio Canada and XM Radio Canada.

The verdict from passionate, Canadian satellite radio fans was that one service is better for automobiles and that one is better for home usage.

So which one is for you?

XM Canada received better ratings for home usage, Digital Home members mentioning that service is great once an appropriate spot has been found. Sirius Canada on the other hand emerged as a clear favourite for users requiring satellite radio service for their cars.

For myself the only option is the SiriusXm that they offer in the U.S. Even though I use Sirius Canada currently I still miss a few of the XM stations. It for that reason that I am willing to navigate the few obstacles to get the US service. Sorry Sirius Canada

What obstacles did you do as i really want the us service over the canadian one as i want a little of both and hate both because of it

Chris – Unfortunately, their is no way to get the US service in Canada. I think the only way to get it would be to buy an American Receiver and register it at an American Address if you have access to one. I complained loudly after the merger that the best of XM was not available in Canada, but apparently it is because of a regulatory snag with the stupid CRTC. It is funny to me that they claim not to regulate it, but they make XM and Sirius Canada still act as two different companies. Utter Nonsense.
