Sirius Withdrawal
So we are now in between the Christmas and New Year Days, and I admit that I have not been tuned into my receiver much. Boxing Day I came down with a stomach bug of some sort but I ended up watching a ton of hockey to pass the time. Was also great to spend time with family. This has been one of the best Christmas times ever for me.
Hope everyones Christmas was good. Did anyone get a loved one or friend a subscription to Sirius? If so I am interested to hear about any reactions and feedback.
Since I have not been tuned in, I am now suffering withdrawals from being away from my favourite stations! You get so used to listening to this medium and depending on it to take your troubled thoughts away sometimes that you crave having that back. So first thing Tuesday morning I will return to listening to my favourite channels and hoping for that great track of music that I have not heard in a long time. It makes the drive to work much better.
This is also the time for me that my subscription is up for renewal. One thing that always stands out for me once the subscription is paid is how quickly my subscription pays for itself. When you break down the cost of using this service on a daily basis, it works out to about 43 cents per day. Hearing a few great classic rock songs for an hour straight, or hearing a half hour of solid stand up comedy on Raw Dog, that 43 cents becomes money well spent in a very quick period of time.
We are truly fortunate that this medium costs as much as it does given the financial situation at SiriusXM. I repeat my hope for a turnaround for SiriusXM this year and look forward to seeing how the first quarter results are financially.
