Sirius XM Radio provided unprecedented access to the 2009 Major League Baseball All-Star Week for invested baseball fans with satellite radio subscriptions, giving full coverage of the events as they played out.

The 80th All-Star Game itself was covered by XM Radio along with other popular events including the Home Run Derby and all of the XM All-Star Futures Games.

MLB Home Plate (Sirius channel 210 with Best of XM and XM channel 175) made game coverage available for Sirius-only subscribers as well however, providing live updates and up to the minute details from the games themselves as they played out at the diamond.

What kind of merger was Sirius XM anyway? One side, XM, clearly got the best of the deal because MLB is not on Sirius. What possible incentive can there be for Sirius subscribers to buy the “Best Of XM” add on? Having just bought a car that caries Sirius, I am pissed!
