Sirius 73 the Spa is the home on Sirius for those great nature sounds that can be soothing to the mind and soul. I have always had a fascination with this kind of music that almost has a classical vibe to it. Of course you have keyboards being used to generate much of these sounds. It is interesting to me to hear a layer of lush natural sounds layered with different tones of a synthesizer.

My one pet peeve with the Spa is that I can really do without hearing Yanni and some of the other similar artists who do not really do this channel much justice. The music they generate has more of a home somewhere else. Those kinds of compositions are just not really my cup o tea. Enya and Enigma no doubt have talent, but their music to me invokes a lot of emotion. This channel to me should be about relaxing, not invoking a ton of negative feelings the way some of the music of Enya and Enigma does. As talented as these artists are, they belong on another channel.  

Those of you out there who can fall asleep to pretty much any kind of music or noise will enjoy most of what you hear on the Spa. Most of the programming will invoke what the channel purpose really is about, and at the same time take you on journeys of musical electronica worth voyaging. Relaxing music, regardless of your taste is meant to be uplifting and soothing for the soul.
