XM Radio on Last Legs?

We previously reported on rumours of a combined broadcast between Sirius and XM Radio for November and commented on speculations that this move may be a pre-cursor to Canadian merger. Now it seems that XM Radio may actually be just about ready to give up the race.

This would see Sirius Radio become the sole satellite radio provider for Canadian listeners, a move which is certainly less satisfactory than a proper XM merger.

Still, the idea of XM’s death is just speculation at this point and may not even occur at all. Perhaps it’s best to wait until the November simulcast before jumping to any premature conclusions.
